Further Lecturing and Research Posts as part of Business School Expansion
Newcastle University is making a substantial investment in business
education through the establishment of its new Business School whilst
Newcastle city is enjoying an economic and cultural renaissance.
The Business School is now seeking to further enhance its teaching,
research and programme management expertise through appointments in
financial accounting, economics and management; the appointment of an MBA
programme director; and research appointments in social informatics in
the ‘Newcastle Social Informatics Group’.
Lecturer (A/B) in Financial Accounting
Teaching Fellow in Financial Accounting
Lecturer (A/B) in Economics
Temporary Lecturer in Economics
Lecturers in Management(two posts)
Lecturer/Teaching Fellow in Management (MBA Programme Director)
Senior Research Associate/Junior Research Associates in Social Informatics
(up to three posts)
For lecturer/teaching fellow positions a commitment to high-quality
teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels will be important.
For lecturer appointments a demonstrable capacity to contribute to the
research agenda of the School is essential. For research appointments an
interest in the social and/or technical aspects of e-government and the
deployment of information technology in public service delivery is
essential.
Salary will be at the appropriate points on the Lecturer A/B, Research
Associate or ACOR scales. All posts are available from 1st January 2004 or
as soon as possible thereafter.
