Again, merely for the fact that so many of you previously showed an
interest in the now two Roman ships from the Netherlands (I do
realise this forum is BRITarch ;-) ), here is the URL for the
updated photographs (of the ship discovered last week, that is) just

There is also an English summary of the finds, at
http://www.romeinsschip.nl The first ship is rightly being called a
'time capsule', a Northern European mini-Pompeij. It is now thought
to have been the ship of a team of army carpenters, with the skipper
living aboard the barge in 'cumfy' surroundings not dissimiliar to
those found amongst his presentday colleagues.
