I am pleased to announce the forthcoming inaugural meeting of the
Heslington Parish Archaeology Project.
August 11th 7.30pm
Heslington Village Meeting Room,
Heslington is a parish on the south-east edge of the city of York. Although
best known now as the home of University of York it is an historic village,
with recorded archaeological remains going into prehistory. This new parish
archaeological project aims to explore the archaeology and history of the
parish and the surrounding area, using documentary research and fieldwork.
