If you could take a year out, then you could be interested in the new i-Science course at Leicester, which was announced recently: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/3052294.stm
I've been helping with the module design for "Prophets and Powers: Stonehenge" which includes quite a bit on the engineering of Stonehenge. Currently I'm on the team writing material for the more palaeo/archaeo-orientated "Time" module.
However, this may not be suitable it depends on where you want your degree to lead. If you want to work as an engineering then engineering remains the best degree to take.
The rough website on the course is at: http://www.le.ac.uk/physics/jdr/i-science/
Good luck with the exams.
