Description: European Constitution Watch is a joint project of the Istituto per gli Studi di Politica Internazionale, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik and Institut Français des Relations Internationales which is focusing upon issues relating to the convention of Europe and a proposed European Constitution. Its web site provides access to articles, speeches and papers containing political debate on the future public administration of the EU and its constitutional reform

Amnesty International Annual Report 2003

Description: This Web site provides access to the full text of the Amnesty International annual report for 2003. Amnesty International is an independent charitable activist organisation that works for the protection of human rights. The report highlights the human rights abuses that occurred during the year. The report also looks at the effects of the war against terrorism, the Iraq war, events in the Democratic Republic of Congo and relations between Israel and Palestine. Regional summaries are included for Africa, Europe, Asia and the Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, and the Americas.

TRILT; Television and Radio Index for Teaching and Learning
Description: This site has been provided by the British Universities Film and Video Council (BUFVC), in association with EDINA and with funding support from the JISC. It is a database of UK television and radio programmes, specifically enhanced for Higher and Further Education. It is available free of charge to Higher and Further Education users in the UK and to BUFVC members. The database is searchable and browsable and covers schedules at least ten days in advance of broadcasting. Terrestrial, cable and satellite television is included as well as local and national radio stations. Some programmes which may be of particular interest to higher and further education users are annotated with evaluations, bibliographies, weblinks and indications of sources of post-transmission copies, including the BUFVC's own off-air recording backup service.

Canadian Democratic Audit
Description: The Canadian Democratic Audit is a research project of the Centre for Canadian Studies Mount Allison University. Its aim is to assess the state of democratic accountability in Canada. This includes coverage of electoral engagement, the state of the electoral system and voter turnout; the accountability of Canadian political parties and matters relating to citizenship and public political participation in Canada. The site includes access to some research papers and findings related to the project. Users should note that some papers are in pdf format and therefore require access to an Adobe Acrobat Reader for use.

Description: This site provides access to the full text of the UK Home Office annual report for 2003 which was puublished in May 2003 cm5908 session 2002/3. It provides information on the performance, finance and management of the office during this period. It includes access to statistical data relating to the criminal justice system, prisons, probation system, police forces, immigration service and community and race relations. Users should note that the report is in pdf format and therefore requires access to an Adobe Acrobat Reader for use.
