Dear Kev,
I am not sure what you mean by "road test" here, but the ideal would be a
cascade thru the 4Ss that allowed you to go all the way from systems down
thru synopses and systematic reviews to individual studies. How deep you'd
go would depend on whether you got an adequate answer, and how much more
detail you wanted.
Perhaps the closest to this is sumsearch ( http://sumsearch.uthscsa.edu/ )
which does attempt each layer via a meta-search engine. It is very neat
though probably not quite the integrated model Brian Haynes had in mind, so
there is more work to be done!
