EXCAVATION AT DUN GLASHAN, ARGYLL, JUNE 2003
Dun Glashan is a circular, galleried Atlantic roundhouse, c.20m in diameter within walls c.4m thick, which most likely dates to the first millennium AD. Excavations will be carried out at this site for the period of 2 weeks from the 14th to the 29th of June, 2003.
Volunteers are required to fill spaces on this excavation, which is directed by Dr. Jon Henderson (University of Nottingham) and Dr. Simon Gilmour (RCAHMS). A contribution of £140 will be required to cover costs of subsistence and accommodation, and travel to and from Nottingham (should this be required).
