As I've said previously, I suspect is not so much down to the BBC
deliberately belittling the monument as its journos simply not having the
knowledge to write anything more meaningful, and perhaps not being given
the time to contact someone who can provide that knowledge.
If you're under orders to update a website within the next 10 minutes,
needing half an hour to contact an archaeologist isn't a runner.
