My reaction to the PF conference posting was due to the fact that I was
under the misapprehension that an archaeology list was about archaeology and
not the promotion of factional Pagan conferences.
I feel it would have been more appropriate for the person who posted the
blurb to have edited the announcement that appeared on dozens of
Pagan-oriented lists that day and just focus on the fact that several
archaeologists/archaeology writers were booked to speak at the event next
November. Posting the entire conference advert was what I had qualms about,
because this is not a Pagan list.
I regret that my simple comment pointing out the partisan nature of the
conference led to personal attacks against me which should not have been
posted to this list.
Can we focus on archaeology now?
So: who thinks the Moat had water in it?
