This dramatic literary event
will take place in The Poets' Corner
with selected Cantos read by
Frank McCourt, Leonard Lopate, Arthur and Peggy Penn,
Mathew Pearl, Canadian Consul Pamela Wallin,
The Right Reverend Paul Moore Jr., 13th Bishop of New York,
with poets Henri Cole, Cornelius Eady, Johanna Keller,
Karl Kirchwey, Phillis Levin, Charles Martin,
Donna Masini, Honor Moore, Marilyn Nelson, Marie Ponsot,
Liam Rector, Tom Sleigh, Jean Valentine, and Cynthia Zarin,
translators Michael Palma, Jean Hollander, scholar
Scott Failla, Dante regulars Wendy Barrie, Michael Groden,
Jon Simko, and William Singer, as well as other distinguished guests.
The reading follows the 7pm Maundy Thursday Liturgy
to which you are also cordially invited.
Just after midnight, an organ recital will conclude the reading.
The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine is located at
Amsterdam Avenue and 112th Street.
