Invitation
The Arts and Humanities Data Service (AHDS) is holding a one-day workshop,
hosted
by the Performing Arts Data Service, University of Glasgow, on Wednesday
25th June.
The workshop will address the documentation of digital resources, with
particular focus on the needs of Arts and Humanities researchers and data
creators in the HE sector.
Documentation is becoming increasingly important in the digital world, not
just to aid resource discovery, but also to ensure the long term viability
of digital materials in a constantly changing environment. This workshop
will cover the use of different kinds of metadata, and why such
documentation is so important for the successful completion of any
digitisation project. Special emphasis will be given to the lessons that can
be learned from interdisciplinary research, and the challenges involved in
recording information about temporal events.
Who should come?
This event will be of interest to all researchers involved in the creation,
dissemination and use of high quality digital research resources in the Arts
and Humanities. The workshop will be of special interest to those who are
preparing an application for one of the funding schemes organised by the

Committee.
How much does it cost?
