In relocating our collection of archives a question has arisen on the use
of fire proof cabinets. Do many use them and if so how do you decide what
records to keep. Long term? Confential? Technical etc... We have various
departments here who use fire proof cabinets for some records but not all
and there is no clear policy or guidelines as to what to keep in these
cabinets and what not to. We are being audited next week and even the
auditors are unclear. Any advice on the subject most welcome thanks
