Dr. James Werth and I are coediting a special issue of the Journal of Disability Policy Studies with the topic: "End-of-life Issues and People with Disabilities." Our deadline for article submission was April 1, 2003. We are hoping to have our editorial duties complete and the issue put together by the end of September 2003.
However, we have received a far greater response to this important topic than we expected and, consequently, are in need of people to review scholarly articles and/or personal experiences and stories of disabled people that have been received for possible inclusion in the special issue.
If you are interested in possibly reviewing article(s) for the special issue, send me:
A statement of your qualifications for reviewing (academic qualifications, including degress and positions for scholarly articles; experiences or other qualifications for other reviewers, for example).
Your preference (scholarly; stories and essays; both).
Any accessibility issues we should be aware of.
Your name, postal mail address, phone and fax numbers and email address.
We expect to begin the review process by the end of this month, and would expect that reviewers would be able to complete their reviews within 6-8 weeks of receiving an article. The review process will be blind (the author will not know the names of the reviewers nor the reviewers the names of the authors).
