Hi, it was suggested that I put on the list what I mentioned at
Friday afternoon's phone meeting about CERN RB and IC RB.
On Friday morning I submitted jobs with requirements of BHAM
every 2 minutes via the CERN (default) RB, and the IC RB,
from the RAL gppui. At the time my CE/WN machines were empty so
there was no reason why jobs shouldn't run straight away, I guess.
Of the 70 jobs via the CERN RB, all matched successfully to BHAM
and all ran within a minute of being submitted, apart from one
which was delayed for all of 4 minutes.
Of the 49 jobs via the IC RB, 34 matched successfully to BHAM, but 15 got
status Aborted/No matching resource found. These were randomly
interspersed with the good submits. Most of the 34 arrived here within
10-12 minutes, apart from 5 whose delay ranged from 20 minutes to
140 minutes(!).
Does this mean that the IC RB was very busy compared with the CERN default
RB, on that morning ?
Lawrie Lowe.
