Hello Everyone,
I'm still having lots of mount errors between the CE and SE and haven't
found any solution to them. I've done some obvious checks and found that
I have no problem mounting filesystems from other machines!
I've even re-done the CE and SE installations!!
Dave
a) Both machines have the correct time
/etc/ntp.conf file has ntp server ntp0.qmul.ac.uk
/sbin/service xntpd restart
b) /share mount point exists on CE
/flatfiles mount point exists on CE
/home mount point exists on SE
c) /etc/exports file checked to make sure the CE and SE nodes can mount
and that permissions look ok (rw,no_root_squash)
d) Attempted to mount manually
[root@hepbf2]mount -t nfs hepbf4.ph.qmul.ac.uk:/home /home
mount: RPC: Unable to receive; errno = Connection refused
e) Attempted to mount a filesystem from another machine
YES...THIS WORKS on BOTH the CE and SE machines.
[root@hepbf4 /tmp]# mount -t nfs hepbf1.ph.qmul.ac.uk:/mnt/disk2 /tmp/home
[root@hepbf4 /tmp]# df
