Dear Colleagues
Worcestershire Archaeological Service is aiming to meet the draft benchmarks
for a Historic Environment Record (English Heritage 2002) by September 2003.
As part of this initiative and in co-operation with our colleagues in
Information and Business Systems (Worcestershire County Council) we are
developing a new server side database and GIS for the HER. We will soon be
testing the first elements of this and are keen to share ideas with other
organisations. To try to develop a dialogue we have produced a newsletter
which outlines our philosophy and methods.
