The Independent on Sunday are preparing an article on cartography and have
asked for some 'Top tips' on getting into the business and becoming
successful at it. They need 7 or 8 tips which should be short (one to two
sentences) bullet points of things people need to know to get into the
profession including training, attributes, skills etc required. They gave me
samples of previous tips on getting into the Police and becoming a chartered
accountant. Let me know if you want to see these, but I would really
encourage you all to stay in cartography!
Without giving away the closely guarded secrets of your own success, please
let me know any words of wisdom, practical advice, warnings, etc either
on-list (I'm sure others would want to know too) or off-list direct to me.
Many thanks,
Mick Ashworth
