First International Edinburgh Gadda Conference
National Library of Scotland

10-11 April 2003
A fresh assessment of Gadda’s output, the major novels
especially, is invited from the conference speakers. Papers range
from issues of gaddology and single work readings to the state of
the archives and research applications of information technology.
The CNR representatives will make the first UK presentation of the
Gadda textual database, DTB 4 Gadda 2000, and there will be a
roundtable on ‘Quer pasticciaccio’.
The conference marks the 40th anniversary of the first volume
publication of ‘La cognizione del dolore’, and the third year of
activity of the ‘Edinburgh Journal of Gadda Studies’ (85,383 visitors
since January 2001).
