Dear Marilyn,
I'll think about the bedtime reading- there are so many books its hard to know what to suggest!
I spoke to my cousin yesterday. She says that she would be happy to give you a bed for the night when you are in Oxford. Her name is Rachel Hamdi, and her address is 24 St Margarets Road. (I think it is off off the Woodstock Road). Her phone number is 01865 556942. Her road is very near the station, about 10 minutes in a taxi, and as I said, it is walking distance to the centre of Oxford. I told her that you would call her to confirm that you want to stay with them. I think she charges about 12-15 pounds (no breakfast).- maybe she'd prefer it is cash?
I told Rachel that I thought you would want the night of the 6th March, but please let her know. To get to our place the next day you can get a number 15 bus from the Hight Street, and get off at the stop after Oxford Brooks University- just after the traffic lights. I'll send you a map to help you find us exactly if you like- or you could get a taxi- the buses go about every 10 minutes, and cost a pound. It takes about 15 minutes on the bus from the High Street.
Hope all well with you, Alison
