Position: Project/Senior Ecologist
Our client, a UK based specialist ecological consultancy, is urgently
looking to recruit project manager-level ecologists to join its existing
team within a pleasant West Country location. With a relevant first degree
in Environmental Biology (or similar) you will have a minimum of 5 years
experience post-graduation, with at least 2 years in a project management
capacity; covering all aspects from tendering, quotations, budget
management, invoicing through to final report preparation. Candidates will
have an excellent knowledge of identifying and monitoring a range of
habitats and wildlife, along with competency within Field Surveys – NVC,
EIA’s, ES’s, DEFRA Licensing and working with protected species. To have
held at least one English Nature Protected Species license would also be
an advantage, as would any Railtrack PTS AC/DC certificates. Experience of
supervision of groundworkers and junior ecologists is also desirable, in
order to successfully manage and oversee small to medium sized projects.
In return our client is offering the opportunity to undertake a diverse
range of projects within a friendly, supportive working environment.
Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience, but certainly
competitive within the market.
