Papers examining disability issues within the broad themes of the
conference are encouraged. A session on disability issues is being
organized for the conference.
A reminder that abstracts for the 2003 ANZALS Conference are due on February 1.
The conference will take place on July 10-12 at the University of
Technology, Sydney.
The theme is: Leisure, Change and Diversity
Papers are invited in the areas of sport, tourism, arts and entertainment,
outdoor recreation and home-based leisure and:
- the changing culture and economy of cities
- ethnic diversity
- Indigenous cultures
- people with disabilities - rights, needs and markets
- the changing environment of planning, management and governance
- technological change - products and processes
- the changing concept of community
- multiple markets and needs
- personal change and development
- the challenge of social theory
Please send your abstract of up to 350 words to Chair of the Program

Note that the opportunity is being offered for papers to be refereed and
included in a special edition of 'Annals of Leisure Research' to be
published to coincide with the conference.

Registration details will be posted on the web-site shortly. The full
registration fee is expected to be in the region of A$400, with student
concession and day-registration rates will be available.
Note also, that the Asia Pacific Tourism Association Conference 2003,
'Current Research, Future Strategies; Bridging Uncertainty', will take
place July 6-9, also at UTS. Full details can be found at:
