Have used it several times Rowley; as has been said on the list, its good
for the right patient. I've used it on horse riders with #femur where
there's also a possible pelvic fracture & on kids (its very adapatable to
different leg lengths). The main message I have is to firmly support both
legs with lots of frac straps etc to add to the immoblisation, otherwise you
can get some movement.
Vic has mentioned the advantage of light weight & portability & its my
choice when equipping expeditions; sometimes just the top & bottom
anchorages go; telescopic walking/ski-poles can be adapted to replace the
poles, but this does require some ingenuity.
