Now that would be advanced for most of our punters Matt. In fact most UK medics who are not in our business don't know what ED stands for, so there's no hope for the man in the street. However many more might be able to guess at ER, but are likely to consider this a tad affected! Do people really call their EDs "emergency rooms" anymore? Renee?
