Dear All,
I am a third year undergraduate at UCL, studying Archaeology, I've recently began
my dissertation and have embarked on an idea including both Zooarchaeology and
Photography. I would be very gratefull of any ideas and speculations that people
may come up with.
I want to form some sort of computer program or database that would allow the user
to add a picture to the report they are inputting, and then manipulate that picture to
their needs.
An example would be when recording a humerus of a sheep bone, the computer
would call up that bone from its own database of pictures. This picture would be
available for the user to manipulte to include any butchery marks or other forms of
pathology, consequently they would be recorded on the report and would apear
every time that particular record was called up.
Currently people often use their own drawings to record pathology in a bone report. I
want to form some sort of system that means this would not be necessary, they
would be recorded onto the computer at the same time the report was made.
Thank you for reading this, and I'll be very grateful for any response.
Best Wishes,
Maudie Gunzi
