Education Manager
Salary range: £18-20k (depending on experience)
Sensation: Dundee is Dundee's Millennium project and since opening in July
2000 has repeatedly demonstrated its importance as a key educational
resource. Shortly due to enter its third year of operation the Chief
Executive is looking to appoint a key member of the management team. The
potholder will join the management team and contribute directly to the
future achievements of the science centre. The successful candidate will
demonstrate a robust awareness of the education market and the forces
influencing it. Relevant experience gained in a similar environment, while
not essential, is a very distinct advantage.
The Role
Drive the strategic development of the Centre's Education programme
Develop partnerships with key educational stakeholders
Actively pursue and secure appropriate funding streams
Lead co-coordinating activities for local STEM activities
Contribute to management meetings
Contact with schools and other education groups
Develop programmes, events and new exhibits
The Candidate
Highly motivated and able to communicate at all levels
Minimum of 2 years experience gained in a relevant environment
Experience of managing and developing staff
Creative and able to turn ideas into reality
Committed to widening public access to science
