Some Insights into strategy development in China's TVEs
> Abstract
>
>
Township and village enterprises (TVEs) have emerged to be a crucial element in China's economic development. In 2002 there were 21 million enterprises, employing 128 million and generating over 34 percent of GDP. The majority of these TVEs employ less than 5 people but a significant number are large and it is these TVEs that have seen the strongest growth. This research seminar looks at the strategic development in two successful TVEs in the Zhejiang province from a process perspective. The research forms part of a programme to explore strategy development in China's changing enterprises.
