To: potential post-doc candidates
Subject: Post-doctoral position in Surface Dynamics in the group of Alec
Wodtke
I will be hiring a post-doctoral researcher into my group to work on
experiments where highly vibrationally excited molecules interact with
surfaces, in particular metal surfaces. The position is available
immediately, but the starting date is negotiable until Spring of 2004. I
prefer to find a person experienced with laser methods and molecular
spectroscopy who is interested in moving into (or remaining in) the area
of surface dynamics, but this is not an absolute requirement. I have had
people come to my group with no laser experience and do extremely well.
The most important qualification for this position is a good background
in physics, chemical physics, physical chemistry or a related field and
a strong personal desire to carry out forefront research. Please send
curriculum vitae and letters of recommendation to the address above.
Electronic communications are preferred.
Sincerely,
Alec M. Wodtke
