I might mention that I also sent the student a copy of 'A brief guide to
primary sources for mining history', text which appeared in the last NAMHO
Heritage Guide (3rd edn) and is also now available on the web at
http://www.exter.ac.uk/~pfclaugh/mhinf/sources.htm
The latter will be updated as I become aware of changes, so the information
on the new location for the Coal Authority records, including the
abandonment plans, was very useful.
