WE ARE LOOKING FOR A HIGHLY MOTIVATED, ENTHUSIASTIC INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN THE GRANTS DEPARTMENT OF THE National Art Collections Fund (art fund), Britain's leading independent art charity. In 2002 the Art Fund gave over £4 million to museums, galleries and historic properties for the purchase of works of art of all kinds, from prehistoric antiquities to contemporary art and craft.
Working as a member of a small, busy team, the Grants Assistant will provide first-class secretarial and administrative support, assisting with a wide range of applications from museums and galleries throughout the UK, and help to maintain our picture library and acquisitions database. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in the art world, and to play a part in helping public art collections. The successful candidate will ideally be an Art History graduate with relevant experience, and will possess excellent IT and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Salary £15,000 -£16,000 depending on experience
