Call for GIS papers for the Conference of Irish Geographers,
Trinity College, Dublin

CALL FOR GIS PAPERS: AN INVITATION TO PRESENT
The Department of Geography, Trinity College, University of Dublin will host
the Annual Conference of Irish Geographers between Friday May 2nd and Sunday
May 4th 2003. This conference brings together geographers working and
studying both in Ireland and overseas. It provides a stimulating and
supportive forum for the presentation of research in all aspects of the

This session hopes to bring together interested GIS practitioners and
researchers. Abstracts for GIS presentations will be considered on all
aspects of Geographic Information Systems and Geographic Information Science,
both theory and practice. Preference will be given to those presentations
which discuss “public participation” or focus on “spatial data”.
Participants will be required to give a twenty minute presentation (a copy of
the paper will not be required). If you are interested in presenting at this
session, please submit an abstract, by email, of not more than 200 words by
Friday the 28th of March to Mairead de Roiste ([log in to unmask]). Please
include your name, affiliation and title of the paper. You will also need to
submit the abstract and register with the conference separately at
http://www.tcd.ie/Geography/CIG/
Successful applicants will be notified by Wednesday the 2nd of April.
