North West Education Programme Development Plan
-Consultants Required
NWMLAC is looking for suitably qualified consultants to undertake research
for the North West Education Programme Development Plan, which is being
funded by Resource as part of its Renaissance in the Regions initiative.
We wish to commission five consultants to carry out consultation with
schools, Local Education Authorities and other educational agencies in each
of the five sub-regional areas (Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Cumbria
and Lancashire).
We are looking for 5 consultants, each of whom would manage the
consultation exercise in one of the sub-regions. The aim is to gain a clear
picture of how the education sector views museum/gallery education and what
can be done to encourage better use by schools of educational services. The
work would need to begin in the early part of the autumn term, with a view
to completion by the end of November 2003.
A maximum fee of £4200 is available for each sub regional consultancy. In
addition each consultant can claim up to a maximum of £1000 for travel
expenses, room hire and hospitality.
Sheila McGregor has been appointed as lead consultant to co-ordinate the
work associated with developing the plan
If you are interested in principle in undertaking any part of this work, we
should be grateful if you would submit a CV to NWMLAC by 28th August. This
should emphasise those aspects of your experience which would best equip
you to undertake the work in question and should also give the names,
addresses and contact details of two referees.
If you have any queries in the meantime, please telephone Sheila McGregor
on 0114 263 1518 or email her at the following address:
