There is another important aspect of security which may not strictly involve
the use of personal data implication.
Suppliers and other companies who are actually contracted to supply
equipment may not wish their product details to be openly broadcast via
equipment identifiers etc. Indeed you may wish to have precautionery look at
any contractual arrangements which may exist.
From a previous life I am aware of one company who threatened to, "Pull the
plug." for fear of the criminal fraternity.
