Dear all
I have had a scan through the archives but didn't come across anything
that answers the questions I raise below. I would be very greatful on
any comments.
Q1. Does SCORM 1.2 include info on the results of
'questions/interactions' in a compliant LO in such a way that it can be
picked up by a correspondingly compliant VLE? If it doesn't then does
that effectively mean that the only sensible use of an interaction in an
LO is for 'formative' ie non-recorded purposes and so the 'summative'
assessment needs to be done via the VLE itself?
Q2. If I create a SCORM 1.2 compliant LO (using IMS 1.2 Content
Packaging and the AICC Tracking and Comms) elements can Bb communicate
with the LO effectively to retain information such as progressions
through the LO (assume the LO to be created and packaged in Macromedia
Authorware 7.0). Do you need a building block for this or will v.6 of Bb
do it out of the box?
Q3. Can Bb accept a non-MS LRN (3.0) packaged content package - or do
you have to use LRN Toolkit to package up content for using in Bb. (And
has anyone found as I have that the LRN Toolkit doesn't produce file
that work on a UNIX implementation of Bb becuase of difference in cases
between the HTML and javascript in the LRN generated files and those it
tries to reference in the various frames!)
Any help and direction greatfully received - and I'll post a digest of
the responses.
Many thanks
Sam
