Only if it's a document that each individual student downloads and edits for
themselves. You could of course work in groups and use one assignment by an
individual on behalf of a group, just as you might have one summariser for a
group work session. However, I don't think there's a more collaborative use
to it, if Neil is looking for a truly interactive joint working document -
or one that when you've made your changes the other students would see. The
only half-hearted way of doing this would be to post the document to the
discussion board after editing.

Neil,
If you are on Bb 6 system, you might use an assignment item for this.

I am sure you have all seen this before!
One of our users wants to put up a document on Blackboard that all students
enrolled in the course can open, edit, update and save back to Blackboard .
Has
anyone come across a means of doing this? maybe via a Building Block or
something ? I have looked at the building blocks catalogue but not found
anything there.
