I am sure there are many solutions out there, but we use a marketing
research program by a company called Mercator, "Snap". It is a commercial
program and has being around since about 1979 in various upgrade
reincarnations. Its name does not convey is usefulness. It will create
surveys with just about any type of question, both qual and quant, will
create the html form and once the CGI script (or ASP script) is configured
will send the data back to a designated email address. Once the replies are
in, a mime compliant email program (normally Outlook - but not Outlook
Express) automatically loads the data. There is an internal analysis
facility that does descriptive stats, cross tabs, chi square, and bar/pie
charts. There is also an import / export facility to Excel and SPSS. The
possibilities for fun are therefore endless!
