Tony,
the honest answer for quite a few of us would be to create the pool outside
of Blackboard, at Wytheville Community College's Blackboard Quiz Generator
http://www.wc.cc.va.us/services/blackboard/ - this keeps the order of the
questions as you set them - though in blocks of question type. It doesn't
help I suppose when your pool is already in Blackboard, but you create it
from a text file, so if I were you and I was using the same pool a lot (eg.
for a module evaluation survey) I'd put them in the order you want in Bb,
take a copy of all the text from the resulting preview page, paste it into
notepad and turn it into a text file to work with in the Quiz Generator -
then you have the zip file outside of Bb to use. You'd only need to import
it and add descriptions etc then.
Actually, I'll perhaps copy this to the american list, because the one thing
it doesn't do is let you add a name for the pool, so maybe I can urge the
guys that developed it to consider that for their next tweak - I know for
one I'd be lost without it. (And don't think the upload questions from a
text file in Bb 6 is better, cos it's not!)

Subject: Re: question order in assessments
Whilst I appreciate it is possible to reorder questions taken from a pool,
it is frustrating that they are in alphabetical order (rather than the
order of the original).
For a survey seeking feedback on a session I often want to use virtually
the same questions in the same order.
Am I right that there's no way around this 'feature' or am I missing
something?
Cheers,
