Nicole, you're right. I hadn't noticed, but 6 does send out from the email
address not the name. There's nothing I've ever seen to set, so it must be
the new default. If anyone has the answer I hope they post it back to the
list not offline. I'll check with our systems programmers there was nothing
they set when installing Blackboard.

Subject: Email signature features in V 6 Enterprise?
Dear All,
We are about to migrate from v. 5.5 to 6 Enterprise and although I had
a play around with 6 on the Bb test server I could not easily find out.
In v. 5.5 there is no feature to add a signature to emails when using
Bb's emailing, but is there one in 6?
Furthermore, the email arrives with the email address addy as sender,
not the name of the sender, so in our case it would be
[log in to unmask] which is not very helpful. Is it possible to set
options for having a proper name as the sender in v. 6?
With many thanks in advance
Nicole
