Dear all,
In 2008 the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate will
celebrate its 150th Anniversary and Senior Management would like to
commission an independent historian to write a chronological history of the
Examination Board.
I have been asked to investigate the procedures for commissioning such a
work but have no experience of this and would be grateful for any advice.
Personally I do not favour the idea; I would prefer a collection of themed
academic papers by a number of different authors and a separate brief,
glossy, pamphlet which could serve as the chronological history so I would
welcome any comments you may be able to make, either to win me over or to
support my case!
Thanks, and apologies if this theme has come up recently. (My membership has
been suspended for a while).
