Call for submissions to new journal
STATISTICAL METHODOLOGY
the official journal of the International Indian Statistical Association
Announcing the new journal Statistical Methodology, which will consist of
top quality articles on fundamental aspects of statistical theory as well
as on significant applications. In addition to helping to stimulate
research, the journal aims to bring about interactions among statisticians
and scientists in other disciplines broadly interested in statistics.
The journal will cover the traditional areas such as statistical
inference, multivariate analysis, design of experiments, sampling theory,
regression analysis, time series, etc., and shall give special emphasis
to established as well as emerging applied areas. A partial list of such
applied areas includes bio-statistics, biometrics, bio-informatics,
environmental statistics, industrial statistics, physical statistics,
social statistics, business statistics, astro-statistics, quality
management, process monitoring, reliability, survival analysis and
operations research. It also includes financial data modeling, data
mining and other interdisciplinary applications. Statistical Methodology
will contain research papers, review articles, papers with discussions,
and short communications on "teacher's corner" and "consultant's forum".
The journal especially encourages the submission of reviews of
statistical applications and reviews of interdisciplinary conferences.
All papers will be refereed.
In 2004, the introductory volume will be published in one double issue,
freely available online in ScienceDirect. From 2005, the journal will be
published quarterly (price to be announced).
