SMABS 2004: Call For Papers
The 24th Biennial Conference of the Society for Multivariate
Analysis in the Behavioral Sciences (SMABS) will take place
at the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, Germany on July 18--21,
2004 (two pre- and post-conference workshops will be held on July
17 and 22, respectively).
The objective of this conference is to present recent developments
and stimulate discussion among researchers in the field of
quantitative methodology for the social and behavioral as well as
educational and econometric sciences.
You are invited to present papers on both theoretical developments
and applications. The scientific program will include invited
lectures, individual paper presentations, poster sessions and
software presentations, as well as social events.
Subjects of former SMABS meetings have been: Categorical Data,
Causality, Classification and Clustering, Classical Test Theory,
Data Collection, Data Management, Educational Assessment, Factor
Analysis, Graphical Modeling, Item Response Theory, Latent Class
Analysis, Log-Linear Models, Longitudinal and Panel Data,
Marketing Research, Measurement Theory, Missing Data, Mixture
Models, Multilevel Analysis, Neural Networks, Qualitative Data,
Social Network Analysis, Statistical Methods, Structural Equation
Modeling, Survey Data. These subjects serve as an orientation
only. Other subjects fitting the overall concept of the conference
are most welcome.
