RESEARCH FELLOW IN DECISION MAKING UNDER SEVERE UNCERTAINTY
The post is available for 23 months from March 2004. Funded under the
EPSRC/UKCIP Programme on the Impacts of Climatic Change on the Built
Environment, Transport and Utilities, the fellow will be based in the Centre
for Decision Research in Leeds University Business School (LUBS), but will
work closely with colleagues in the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS).
LUBS holds a 5 rating (RAE 2001) while ITS has been graded 5* in each of the
last two assessment exercises. You will work, in collaboration with
commercial and other groups on the application of methods for responding to
uncertainty stemming from climatic risk to a range of decision making
problems in the transport sector. You should hold a higher degree in a
relevant subject area, e.g. transport economics, management science or
environmental science, and, normally, you should hold or be very close to
completing, a doctoral degree.
Research Assistant 1A: (from £20,311 p.a., under review) depending upon
