The Locomotive & Carriage Institution has organized a meeting to review
the life and work of three great railway managers: Lord Ashfield of
London Transport; Sir Herbert Walker of the LNWR, LSWR & Southern
Railway; and Lord Beeching of British Railways. The meeting will be
held in Room 727, the old Board Room of the former London Transport HQ
building which stands at 55 Broadway, Westminster, above St.James' Park
LT station.
