3 PHD RESEARCH STUDENTSHIPS
Applicants are invited from UK/EU candidates for three
PhD Studentships for supporting the programme of
international research of the Centre for Tourism &
Cultural Change including the following broad areas:
Cultural Tourism Development, Tourism Policy and
Planning, Tourism and Media, Tourism and Heritage
Issues.
You should have a first or upper second class degree
in an appropriate area of the social sciences and
humanities. Preference may be given to applicants with
a Master's degree. The Centre has a strong research
culture (department rated 4 in 2001 RAE) and you will
join an active research community. In addition, you
may be required to help with undergraduate teaching,
up to a maximum of six hours per week. Successful
candidates will normally be expected to commence their
studies in February 2004. Each Studentship will cover
tuition fees and maintenance (£9,000 per annum).
