Postdoctoral Fellowship in Atmospheric Science
A postdoctoral position is available to measure OH, HO2 and other small
free-radicals in the atmosphere using laser-induced fluorescence at low
pressure (the FAGE technique). The position is available immediately and
runs until 31 March 2006. The successful applicant will be responsible for
the field deployment and laboratory development of the Leeds FAGE
instrument that forms part of the NERC-funded Universities Facility for
Atmospheric Measurements (UFAM). The FAGE instrument uses a state-of-the-
art solid-state laser system, and experience with lasers would be an
advantage but is not essential.

The salary will be on the scale for Research Staff Grade IA within the
range £18,265 - £27,339 according to relevant experience.
