Postdoctoral position in F-T MICROWAVE SPECTROSCOPY
We presently have an opening for a postdoctoral research associate
in the Chemistry Department. The projects involve pulsed-beam
Fourier-transform microwave measurements on transition metal complexes,
DFT calculations, and hopfully apparatus development.
.
We are primarily seeking someone with a Ph.D. in physical chemistry,
and with EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE in experimental physical chemistry and
high-resolution spectroscopy. Experience in microwave spectroscopy,
electronics and computer interfacing, or inorganic synthesis would
also be quite valuable. A summary of recent work, and links are at:
http://www.chem.arizona.edu/kukolich/
Complete, 3-D structures and electronic structure properties
(quadrupole coupling) have been measured for many transition
metal complexes in our lab over the past 10 years. We hope to extend
our measurements to dinuclear complexes, less stable reaction
intermediates, and some weakly-bound complexes.
Please send a current CV, reprints of a few recent publications and
names and addresses(inc. e-mail) for three references to:
