WHAT IS WEM?
After three successful years, the World Education Market - WEM - is now
the annual international forum dedicated to the business of education,
training and lifelong learning.
At WEM 2002 almost 2,000 top-level executives, educational and
governmental decision-makers and industry leaders from
71 countries met in this unique international forum to buy and sell
educational resources, systems and expertise, to build partnerships and,
together, create the solutions that will respond to the educational
challenges of the new millennium.
The key theme of WEM is to build partnerships in the era of borderless
education.
Attendance as visitors at WEM for SEDA would provide excellent
opportunities, especially in the areas of Research and Development,
building Partnerships and Networking; all on an international scale.
WEM would present to you the opportunity to meet with your counterparts
from around the world and to address with them key strategies and issues
facing the Education industry at the moment.
You will see from the attached brochure of WEM 2003 that the Event
begins on the 20th May with a whole day dedicated to the Conference
Program, which will examine topics of great importance for all levels of
education. The main Exhibition will then open on 21st May and remain
open until 23rd May, and during the course of the Exhibition there will
be opportunities to attend further discussion sessions if you so wish.
Attached to this email you will also find further information on this
years WEM, including a document outlining several new initiatives to be
presented at this years event, such as the "e-Village", which is a
dedicated exhibition hall showcasing the "e-learning" value chain in
action, and the Cities and Regions Forum, both of which may be of
interest to you. You will also find attached a list of the confirmed
participants to WEM 2003 to date, which will provide you with an overall
view of the possible contacts you will be in a position to make should
you attend.
