Hi Dianne
Part of my PhD thesis will be examining this, but I have no results as yet,
I am still collecting data to evaluate the longitudinal impact of outreach
activities for 11-18 year-olds. One of the key things I will be examining
is if taking students out of the classroom leads to a bigger impact than
involvement in events that take place in school e.g. demo lectures... I can
keep you posted if you like
My colleague Katie Spall has done a before-and-after study on the impact of
touring Science shows which showed they improved students' understanding of
and attitudes towards physics, I don't have the reference handy but you can
contact her at [log in to unmask]
hope this helps
