Apologies for cross-posting.
This is a final update from Planet Science, which as many will know has aimed to support and promote science education in England following the success of Science Year.
With numerous new resources made available, a range of legacy programmes in place and many strong partnerships forged, the Planet Science team is now scheduled to move on to other things.
We will cease operating on Wednesday July 30th 2003. If you have any outstanding issues relating to Planet Science after this date, you can contact either NESTA ([log in to unmask])or the DfES ([log in to unmask]). Two team members, Jo Edwards and Sarah Biagetti, will work from NESTA to follow up any ongoing projects. The website and weekly newsletter roundup of what's happening across the UK will also continue.
The whole team would like to take this opportunity to thank all the science communication institutions, groups and individuals we have had the pleasure of working with over the last two and a half years.
Over this time we've strived to create inspiring resources and projects of benefit to the science education and wider community. Details of most of these are available on our now- giant website http://www.planet-science.com.
Some list members may find it useful to know where specific members of the team will be dispersing to and this information is posted below.
Once again, many thanks for all your support and contributions throughout Science Year and Planet Science. We look forward to working with you again in our new guises - whatever they may be!
Best wishes,
