Hi, Kari ~ in solidarity I'm herewith outing myself as a (re-)new(ed) list
member instead of lurking as I was rather tempted to do. I've been away for
what seems ages ~ ages of non-productivity only equalled by the previous
years, when I wrote one so-called poem a decade or so. Like you I (now) live
in France ~ unlike you I like French poetry, especially Verlaine, hmm, but
if you mean contemporary then how about the venerable Yves Bonnefoy? Or
Jacques Roubaud, a formal trickster who can also tell us an awful lot about
troubadour versification & rhyming? Please don't suppose that I really know
an awful lot about these poets or anything else, I have just dabbled &
dreamed.. I shall be very interested in what you have to say about
versification ~ do please be more talkative, about why there hasn't been any
poetry in English since the 30s that really rings your formalist number(s)
for instance...
