Well, actually, since Gluck prepared a perfectly good tenor (it says "alto
ou ténor") version for Paris, in French, magnificently sung by Léopold
Simoneau on Rosbaud's recording, counter-tenors need not necessarily apply
for _Orphée et Euridice_.
To my sorrow, I do not know the Bunk Johnson, but will attempt to acquire
it.
